About the Cell

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) fosters a dynamic culture of continuous quality enhancement, aligned with the University’s vision and mission. The Cell actively promotes a culture of academic rigor, innovation, and best practices through strategic initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven quality assurance mechanisms. The Cell was formerly known as the Quality Control Cell (QCC), prior to its restructuring as IQAC.

IQAC emphasizes outcome-based education, effective governance, and adherence to nationally recognized quality benchmarks and accreditation frameworks. Through its proactive and iterative approach to quality assurance, IQAC endeavors to elevate institutional performance, nurture a culture of excellence, and facilitate the holistic development of learners, thereby reinforcing GSFC University’s commitment to academic distinction and global standards.

Objectives of IQAC

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) aims to ensure continuous quality enhancement and sustenance in all academic and administrative processes of the University.

To institutionalize a structured and participative quality assurance system aligned with the vision and mission of GSFC University.

To ensure systematic monitoring, documentation, and review of academic and administrative processes.

To promote effective implementation of quality enhancement initiatives and best practices across the University.

To facilitate data-driven decision-making through robust systems of data collection and analysis.

To ensure timely preparation and submission of NAAC-related reports such as SSR and AQAR.

To enhance transparency through proper documentation and website disclosures.

To review and strengthen policies and processes based on feedback and benchmarking.

To foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across all stakeholders.

Best Practices

Structured Feedback

The University has established a comprehensive feedback system to collect and analyze inputs from students, faculty members, alumni, employers, parents, and other stakeholders. Feedback is obtained on curriculum design, teaching-learning processes, infrastructure facilities, student support services, governance practices, and institutional effectiveness through structured formats and digital platforms. The collected feedback is systematically analyzed by IQAC and relevant committees to identify areas for improvement and policy interventions. Action Taken Reports (ATR) are prepared and implemented based on stakeholder suggestions to strengthen academic quality and institutional performance. The feedback mechanism promotes participative management, transparency, and continuous improvement across all functional areas of the university.

Audit

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) conducts various audits to ensure continuous quality enhancement and compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. These include Academic Audit, Administrative Audit, Financial Audit, Green Audit, Energy Audit, and Gender Audit, aimed at promoting transparency, accountability, sustainability, and overall institutional excellence.

These audits help in identifying strengths, areas for improvement, and best practices across different functional domains of the University. The audit outcomes support strategic planning, effective governance, and the development of a quality-driven institutional culture.
